According to the SBU materials, an FSB special forces agent who wanted to recruit a female SBU officer was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Thanks to the SBU 's evidence, an FSB agent with the operational alias "Skif", who formed his own network of informants in Odessa Region, has been given a real prison term. This is reported by the SBU.

He tried to involve local representatives of law enforcement agencies in the hostile group. According to the plan of the FSB they were to transfer to the Russian intelligence service intelligence on the deployment and movement of the Defence Forces in the south of Ukraine, - reported in the intelligence service.

In early October this year, the SBU counterintelligence service developed an operational combination and withdrew the Skif from the territory of unrecognised Transnistria.

Then, according to the scenario of the Ukrainian special service, the Russian agent came to Odessa Region in order to personally recruit an SBU employee.

Counterintelligence officers of the Security Service documented each episode of criminal activity of the figurehead and detained him on the territory of the region. According to the materials of the SBU, the court sentenced him to 15 years of imprisonment.

As established by the investigation, the convict is a local resident, who in the early 90's went to Moldova, where he participated in hostilities on the side of the so-called "DMR". Then as part of the Russian special forces "Edelweiss" fought in Dagestan and Chechnya.

In 2014, the agent arrived in Odessa to commit mass riots in favour of the Russian Federation, for which he was put on the wanted list by Ukrainian law enforcers. To avoid justice, the figure fled to unrecognised Transnistria, where in 2019 to perform the tasks of the FB was recruited by two representatives of its local "branch"," the report said.

Based on the collected evidence, the court found the Russian agent Skif guilty under part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).
