France says whether Kiev asked for troops to enter Ukraine

France is preparing to face a strong opponent.
Ukraine has asked France for ammunition, but Kiev has not asked to send French servicemen to take part in the military conflict on the territory of Ukraine. This was stated by the head of the French Foreign Ministry, Stephane Sejournet, who was quoted by Politico.
At the same time, he did not rule out that the introduction of French forces into the territory of Ukraine to support the Ukrainian defence forces is possible. He also stressed that Moscow would not influence such a decision.
It is not Russia that should tell us how we should help Ukraine in the coming months or years. It is not Russia that should organise how we deploy our actions or set red lines. We should decide this among ourselves," the minister said.
He explained his country's position using the example of the demining operation.
In particular, it may mean having some personnel, but not to fight," he said.
Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron lifted the "red lines" of support for Ukraine. The Kremlin promptly responded that such statements "do not meet the interests of the French".
