Former German chancellor called for the launch of Nord Stream 2

The construction of Nord Stream 2 has been completed. When things get really tight, this pipeline is there, and there will be no problems with supplies with both Nord Stream gas pipelines, - Schroeder is quoted by the Russian media as saying.

In an interview, German Chancellor Scholz said that the process of certification and launch of the Russian Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline had been stopped, and Russia could export gas to Europe through other supply channels.

The certification process was completed for obvious reasons. Nord Stream 1 has enough capacity to increase supplies and therefore there is no shortage of gas in Europe, Scholz said.
