The annual amount of transfers can be approximately $13-14 billion.
The State Price project reports concerning the NBU data.
At first, the volume of transfers dipped significantly. But in June, the importance of private transfers amounted to $1.23 billion, which is 1.2% more than in June 2021.
This year, the total amount of transfers will be approximately $13-14 billion, economists of the Price of the State project expect.
The NBU says that the rapid growth of remittances occurred at the expense of refugees. They say that some Ukrainians who went abroad to escape the war have already found work and are now actively sending home their hard-earned money.
