Enemy shelling caused a forest fire in Kharkiv region


The fire was extinguished by the State Emergency Service rescuers, local fire brigade and forestry equipment.
Russian shelling has caused a forest fire in Kharkiv Region. This was reported by the State Emergency Situations Service on 19 June.
Russian troops struck the territory of Starosaltovskyy forestry of Chuguevskyy district in the afternoon of 19 June.
As a result of the shelling, dry coniferous litter caught fire in the forest area.
At the time of arrival of firefighters, the forest fire had spread to an area of about 7 hectares.
State Emergency Service units, local fire brigade of Vilcha village and adapted equipment of the forestry enterprise were involved in fire elimination.
Rescuers and foresters in Kharkiv region are working under the threat of repeated shelling.
According to preliminary data, there are no victims and casualties.
