People begin to hate each other when they are too cold or too hot.

Scientists from the University of Potsdam have found that temperatures below +12 °C and above +21 °C can have a negative impact on the psyche and provoke aggression in social networks. Writes about it Science Daily.

Scientists analyzed 4 billion tweets written by Americans in 2014-2020. Artificial intelligence compared the presence of words that discriminate people on the basis of religion, gender, ethnicity, nationality, race, origin, appearance and any other identity factor in the post with the temperature outside the window.

The least aggressive tweets were written at temperatures between +15°C and +18°C. When it was warmer than +30 ° C outside, there was much more hatred on the Internet: in all climatic zones and social communities, Science Daily reported.

In other regions of the world, the temperature comfort window may differ from the US. But in any case, the study of scientists points to the potential danger to mental health posed by the climate crisis.
