Electricity consumption limit increased for Kiev

This is reported by the Kyiv city administration.

The capital is now gradually approaching scheduled outages.

At the same time, accidents in the energy system are becoming more frequent.

There are several reasons for this:

• The first is that townspeople start plugging everything into sockets as soon as the lights come on. Automatics are knocked out due to power surges.
• The second is the weather. Citizens keep using electric heaters. They put a lot of strain on the grid.

We ask Kyivers not to turn on all electric appliances in your house at once. Instantaneous peak loads have a negative impact on the energy system. Only economical consumption will bring us closer to scheduled blackouts.
