Children of Nikolaev will be banned from learning Russian


The ban applies to public schools.
In communal institutions of general secondary education in Nikolaev, the use of the Russian language is prohibited from the new academic year - the executive committee of the Nikolaev City Council took the corresponding decision.
To prohibit from September 1, 2022 in Nikolaev the use of the Russian language in institutions of general secondary education belonging to communal property, the decision says.
In particular, enrollment in grades 1-4 with the Russian language of instruction, the study of the Russian language as a subject, course, elective in grades 1-11, the design of the educational environment in Russian, etc. are prohibited.

We add that in Zhytomyr from September 1, in the new year, there will be no classes where they study the Russian language.
At the same time, the transition to the Russian curriculum began in the occupied territories of Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. And in Mariupol, occupied by Russian troops, the self-proclaimed authorities decided to deprive children of summer holidays and announced the extension of the educational process until September 1. According to the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, Petr Andryushchenko, during this period they plan to teach children the history of Russia, mathematics, Russian language and literature in order to quickly fit children under Russian educational standards.
