Danilov reacts to Prigozhin's wish to become president of Ukraine

The leader of the Russian mercenaries said he had awakened political ambitions.
The desire of Wagner PMC founder Yevhen Prygozhin "to run for president of Ukraine" is a sign that he is a deeply sick man. This was stated by the secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, on the air of a national TV marathon.
He (Pryhozhyn - editor) made an absolutely strange statement from the point of view of a person who should have a brain. He's going to run for office somewhere," Danilov said.
Danilov stressed that only a sick person could say this.
Where is the president of Ukraine and where are these freaks who are killing our citizens. It is impossible, no one will give them that," Danilov added.
The day before, Putin's former cook and current ringleader of Russian mercenaries, Yevgeny Prigozhin, in the background of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, said that he had "political ambitions" and decided to run for president. At the same time, he said that he would be ready for the election next year.
He called incumbent Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the fifth president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, his "rivals".
If I win the Ukrainian presidential election, then everything will be fine," Prigozhin said.
