Czech Foreign Ministry tells Russian ambassador that child killers are the dregs of humanity

The Czech Foreign Ministry has summoned the Russian ambassador in connection with the Russian attack on a children's hospital in Kyiv.
The head of the Czech Foreign Ministry, Jan Lipovsky, has told Moscow through the Russian ambassador that the killers who attacked children in a hospital are the dregs of humanity. This was reported by Seznam Zprávy on 9 July.
Russian Ambassador Alexander Zmiejewski arrived at the Czernin Palace in Prague's Hradcany neighbourhood on Tuesday afternoon. Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky decided to summon him to his office.
Murderers who attack children in a hospital are the dregs of humanity. He was instructed to convey this to Moscow," said Lipawski, who was in the United States at the time.
On Monday 8 July, the Czech ministry called Russia's massive missile strike on Kiev and other cities barbaric.
Russian Ambassador Zmeevsky denied Russian responsibility for the attack on the hospital.
It was not a Russian missile, but a Ukrainian one, he said in response to a question from the Seznam Zprávy newspaper. He said the meeting at the ministry went "as usual".
Later in the afternoon, the Russian embassy issued a statement accusing the Czech government of spreading anti-Russian narratives.
The Czech Foreign Ministry did not listen to the position of the Russian side, the Russian embassy said and accused Prague of being a "mouthpiece" for Kyiv and its Western supporters.
Earlier, Socialportal reported that Russian troops conducted a massive shelling of Ukraine on 8 July. A number of districts in Kiev came under fire, including the country's main children's hospital Okhmatdet.
