Military training may become a requirement for candidates for public office.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine believes that in order to work in the civil service, run for elected positions in local governments, parliament, courts, it is necessary to undergo compulsory military training. Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov wrote about this in his column in Ukrayinska Pravda.

All areas must be analyzed through the prism of the need to be ready for defense. You can apply the term "smart militarization" to these processes. After all, "militarization" in Israel, Sweden, Switzerland on the one hand and Russia and North Korea on the other have fundamental differences. It is important not to lose the essence, - wrote Alexei Reznikov.

The Minister of Defense believes that everyone will have to sacrifice for the sake of Ukraine a part of their comfort, a part of their usual life.

After February 24, 2022, many more people realized that everything had changed. If we really want to preserve our country in such a neighborhood, we must be constantly ready for total defense. Which will be a matter not only for professional military personnel, but for all citizens," Reznikov said.

Recall that earlier Reznikov said: "Ukraine has already passed the stage when one could expect a "worst scenario" for the development of a war with Russia and now the situation is at the stage of stabilization on the battlefield."

Nevertheless, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine still believes that the battle is not over yet. The main events are ahead.
