The Commission on the Establishment of the Fact of Captivity described the interim results of its work.



A total of 4,337 Ukrainians - 3,574 military and 763 civilians - have been or are currently in Russian captivity. This was reported by the Ministry of Reintegration.

The Commission on the establishment of the fact of deprivation of personal liberty as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine was established in pursuance of the Law No. 2010-IX, which entered into force on 19 November 2022.

To date, 8 meetings of the Commission have been held. According to their results, the fact of deprivation of liberty in respect of 4337 persons (3574 military and 763 civilian) was established, - stated in the message.

The relevant data are entered into the Unified register of persons in respect of whom the fact of deprivation of personal liberty as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine has been established.

The Ministry of Reintegration makes payments of lump-sum and annual state monetary aid.

Since the beginning of this year, 422 million hryvnias have already been paid to those released from captivity and to the families of prisoners of war, civilian hostages and political prisoners.

To receive this state monetary aid one should apply to the Ministry of Reintegration.
