The expert believes that they want to weaken Russia as much as possible.

Diplomat Valery Chaly, in an interview with the Espreso TV channel, explained:

There will definitely be a clash between Russia and a NATO country. This cannot be avoided. It’s just that everyone wants Russia to weaken by this moment and already 100% participate in the victory over the Russian Federation. For us, it's just a disaster. Because our people are dying now. That is why we are working and will continue to work in such difficult conditions. However, we must be very careful so that this situation with grain "for the children of Africa" does not turn sideways to us again.

According to Chaly, Ukraine needs allies in the fight against the Russian Federation:

I might be wrong. However, when such agreements as on the grain corridor are concluded, then, of course, there is a benefit for Ukraine, but there is also a benefit for our partners. From the very beginning of the grain agreements, I saw a lot of traps for Ukraine. The biggest trap is that in such a war, when Russia only escalates, nothing can be solved by agreements. If we solve problematic issues through transactions, then everyone will say that in a war it is possible to trade and resolve any situation. Therefore, Ukraine needs allies, not intermediaries.
