Germany's upper house of parliament, the Bundesrat, agrees on a resolution in support of Ukraine

On Friday, the Bundesrat unanimously adopted a resolution in support of Ukraine.

This was reported by European Pravda.

The document demands that Russia withdraw its troops throughout Ukraine and prosecute the Russian leadership and military for crimes. Additionally, the Bundesrat supports increased aid to Ukraine and its EU membership.

It highlights the possibility of cooperation between the German and Ukrainian regions, in particular through the twin cities, in matters of education, science, culture, police and justice, which could contribute to the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.

The guest Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany, Oleksiy Makeyev, was present during the vote in the Bundesrat hall.

It is very important for us to express the solidarity of the 16 German states with Ukraine. We stand with you, we share your suffering and we miss with you the dead," said Bundesrat President Peter Chencher.
