British intelligence found evidence that China is supplying Russian Federation with lethal weapons

Intelligence has evidence of Chinese aid to the aggressor country. This was stated by British Defence Secretary Grant Shapps, Reuters reports.

According to Shapps, Russia is using the weapons provided by China in the war against Ukraine. The Defence Secretary said that the US and British intelligence found evidence that "lethal aid is or will be coming from China to Russia and to Ukraine, and I think this is a significant development."

At the same time, Grant Shapps provided no evidence to his claim.

We should be concerned about this because in the early days of this war, China would like to present itself as a deterrent to Russian President Vladimir Putin," he added.

It should be noted that China has been repeatedly accused of helping Russia. However, China claims that it does not supply weapons. Nevertheless, US intelligence believes that Russia and China are cooperating more and more closely on military issues. For example, China and Russia are conducting joint exercises for the first time with respect to Taiwan. This has led the U.S. government to think about a new plan to counter a potential scenario in which the countries would engage in hostilities.
