British intelligence reported on Russia's plans for Kherson

The day before in the Kherson region, mobile communications and the Internet disappeared
Russian troops aim to occupy Kherson in the long term. Evidence of this is the appearance in the city of a pro-Russian administration and its statements about the "impossibility" of returning to Ukraine and switching to the Russian ruble. This is stated in Twitter of the British Ministry of Defense.
These statements are likely indicative of Russia's intention to exert strong political and economic influence in Kherson in the long term, the report says.
As the intelligence officers suggest, the purpose of the long-term occupation of Kherson can be explained, in particular, by the advance of troops and Russian control over the Crimea.
Sustained control of Kherson and its transport links will enhance Russia's ability to maintain its north and west advance and improve the security of control over Crimea.
On the eve it became known that in the Kherson region, mobile communications and the Internet have completely disappeared from all Ukrainian operators.
In particular, there is no connection in Kherson, Kakhovskiy district, Novotroitskaya and Chaplinskaya communities.
One of the leading specialists of the mobile operator Vodafone in Kherson said that this was not an accident.
