Britain to give Ukraine 100,000 artillery shells
Earlier, Britain handed over 300,000 shells to Ukraine.
This was announced by British Foreign Secretary James Cleverley while in Toronto, Ukrinform quoted him as saying.
After Britain said that it would transfer its Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine, it decided not to stop its assistance. Now Ukraine will receive 100,000 artillery shells, in addition to the 300,000 allocated earlier.
We must keep our promise to support Ukraine until it wins, which is why the United Kingdom has decided to move faster and do more in support of Ukraine, including by giving our friends a Challenger 2 main battle tank, heavy artillery and over 200 armoured vehicles.
It is worth noting that Ukraine, on average, uses 90,000 artillery shells per month.
