Britain is ready to send its soldiers to Ukraine

A force of 50,000 troops will be created to defend Europe.
The UK is ready to send its soldiers to Ukraine to reinforce the ceasefire with Russia as part of the Resolute Coalition initiative. This was announced by Defence Secretary John Gilley on Times Radio, Express.co.uk reports.
'The UK Prime Minister has repeatedly stated his readiness to send troops to Ukraine to support the ceasefire,' Gillie stressed.
France and the UK are expected to provide the bulk of the military contingent, while the plan envisages the participation of the USA as well.
The defence minister also said that a force of about 50,000 troops would be formed in Europe to defend the continent. At the upcoming Franco-British summit, the parties will discuss issues of joint deterrence in the face of growing extreme threats in the region.
We shall remind you that in early April, Kiev hosted a meeting of the "coalition of the resolute", which is an association of countries that have pledged to help Ukraine fight the aggressor. The creation of the coalition was announced by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on 2 March 2025.
Following the results of the "coalition of the resolute", Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that French and British troops would be among the first to arrive in Ukraine.
