Soldiers from Azov released from captivity told how they were tortured by the Russians, about Dugin's daughter and whether they could hold out for another six months

The time of the press conference was limited by the action of painkillers taken by the fighters. After all, all three participants were seriously injured, lost limbs, and are still being treated.

The press conference was attended by Vladislav Zhavoronok (callsign Wikipedia), Denis Chepurga (Mango), and Dmitry Usichenko (Cherry).

Vladislav Zhavoronok was in hospital No. 15 in Donetsk after being seriously wounded. He told how he and his brothers were "treated" there:

It was not a cure but simply the preservation of life. That is so we can hold out until the day we are exchanged. Moreover, the interrogations began before I began to receive antibiotics after the amputation of a limb.

In addition, the fighters said that from the very beginning, they were not only physically tortured but also psychologically. In particular, they said that the Russian army had almost captured Kyiv, that no one in Ukraine needed Azov soldiers, and so on.

From the fighters, they tortured information against their commanders, and the Russians also wanted to get them to take responsibility for the destruction of the civilian population of Mariupol, which was carried out by the Russian army.

They inserted needles into the wound and tortured it with water. All the time of the so-called treatment, torture continued - said Vladislav Zhavoronok.

In addition, the people of Azov are sure that the terrorist attack in Yelenovka took place to hide the traces of torture on the prisoners. Interestingly, they were told about the shelling of the colony in Olenivka allegedly by Ukrainian forces even before the terrorist attack.

They knew about the first attempt to release Azovstal and remove the fighters from captivity.

We knew about the attempts to release us. We heard about attempts by other units to bring us help - ammunition, medicines. A lot of drones were lost. Because the Russians pulled on a large amount of air defense, - said Wikipedia.

During the press conference, journalists asked if they knew that yesterday's murder of Dugin's daughter was also blamed on representatives of the Azov Regiment.

Honestly, this is the first time we've heard of her. We don't do politics—this event with Dugina is for the population of the Russian Federation. And we still didn’t know about its existence,” the people of Azov said.

They also denied rumors that the Azovstal plant had food and water supplies for at least another six months, and they were "surrendered" for a grain deal.

We have, for example, only five minutes left. This can only scare the enemy a little. Water, maybe somewhere was, but somewhere it was not at all. Because during the siege, confidential communications were destroyed. Many died under that rubble. To bring water or food to some block, overcoming a kilometer on the surface was necessary. And it was almost impossible. Many died there, - said Vladislav Zhavoronok.
