On the morning of September 8, a regular meeting on defense support for Ukraine began at the Ramstein American military air base in Germany. It is attended by defense ministers and high-ranking military officers from about 50 countries.



This was stated by US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin at the opening of the fifth meeting in the Rammstein format in Germany.

A few weeks after the last meeting, the United States committed another $6.3 billion in security aid to Ukraine. And yesterday (September 7), the president approved another tranche of US aid to Ukraine in the amount of up to $675 million,” Austin said.

According to the head of the Pentagon, the new aid package includes:

  • 105 mm howitzers;
  • artillery ammunition for HIMARS;
  • HARM missiles;
  • Humvees machines;
  • armored ambulances;
  • artificial intelligence systems.
