An accomplice of the occupiers tried to flee to the EU

The SBU has detained an ex-officer who gave the occupants a fleet of ambulances to deport Ukrainian children to Russia.
The SBU has prevented the escape from Ukraine of an ex-officer who helped Russian troops in occupied Kherson. This was reported by the SBU.
An accomplice of the Russian Federation was detained at the Krakivets border checkpoint in Lviv Region when she was trying to leave for the EU, the security service said.
The woman worked as deputy head of the Kherson centre for emergency medical aid and disaster medicine.
During the occupation of Kherson, she became a member of the management of the captured medical centre and handed over 24 ambulances to the invaders. For this purpose, she signed the corresponding "order" with her own hand to make the procedure seem legitimate.
In addition, she assisted the occupants in the mass deportation of Ukrainian children. They were taken by ambulances from Kherson region to Crimea and then to the Russian Federation. In this way, they disguised the illegal export of minors under the guise of moving medical special transport.
After the liberation of Kherson, the enemy accomplice remained in the city. In the late summer of 2023, she travelled to Lviv and registered social benefits there as an internally displaced person.
Subsequently, the accomplice of the occupiers decided to flee abroad through the checkpoint "Krakivets", where she was detained by officers of the SBU and the National Police, - reported in the SBU.
During searches at the residence addresses of the defendant in Lviv and Kherson, flash drives and documents with evidence of criminal activity were seized.
Now she is reported on suspicion under part 1 of article 111-2 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (complicity to the state-aggressor) and selected a measure of restraint - detention.
The investigation is ongoing. The attacker faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
