23 sexual crimes: the UN spoke about the violence by the occupiers

23 sexual crimes of Russians and executions were recorded in 30 settlements of Ukraine.
Focus reports.
The UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine recorded 23 cases of sexual violence, as well as executions of civilians in more than 30 settlements of the country. And this is only the data from February 24 to May 15 this year.
Also, international experts confirmed 300 cases of civilians being killed in the occupied territories.
Only in Bucha, Kyiv region, the monitoring mission documented the killing of at least 50 civilians while the city is under the control of the Russian army. The report also describes cases of torture and ill-treatment of the local population.
Because of intense fighting, danger, massive displacement and stigmatization, victims of sexual violence are often unable or unwilling to speak to others or file a formal complaint with law enforcement. It can take years to understand the full scope of sexual violence in this context, — head noted. UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine Matilda Bogner.
