20 armed clashes occurred overnight despite "ceasefire" - General Staff

From 22:00 to 08:00 on 20 April, 20 military clashes were recorded on the front line - this is significantly less compared to the previous 24 hours. This was reported by the AFU General Staff.

Thus, in the Kharkiv direction, Russian troops made two unsuccessful attempts to attack in the area of Volchansk and Malaya Shapkovka.

Seven enemy attacks took place in the area of Kupyansk during the day. Ukrainian defence forces successfully repelled enemy assaults near Zagryzovo, Kondrashovka, Novaya Krugliakovka and Petropavlovka.

In the Liman direction, 14 skirmishes were recorded. The enemy tried to advance in the areas of Novomykhailivka, Novoye, Yampolovka, as well as towards Torskoe, Grekivka, Glushchenkovo, Olgivka and Zelena Dolyna.

In the Seversk direction, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled two enemy attacks in the area of Verkhnyekamenskoye.

On the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy launched seven attacks on the AFU positions in the areas of Chasovy Yar, Stupochek and Kurdyumivka.

Over the past day in the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian units 18 times in the areas of Toretsk, Druzhba, Dachne and in the direction of Dilievka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 39 assault attempts of the aggressor in the areas of Sukhoy Balka, Tarasovka, Vodyanoye Second, Elizavetovka, Lucha, Lisovka, Novoaleksandrovka, Preobrazhenka, Serebryanoye, Bogdanovka, Troitskoye, Novotoretskoye, Sviridonovka, Malinovka, Shevchenko, Zverevo, Uspenovka, Kotlyarovka, Andreevka and in the direction of Stara Mykolaivka.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 12 attacks of the invaders in the areas of Privolnoye, Novoselka and Konstantinopol.

In the Orekhivskyi direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped three attacks in the direction of Malaya Tokmachka and near Novoandreyevka.

No enemy offensive actions were recorded in the Gulyaypol and Prydniprovskyi directions.

In Kursk region over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian troops repelled 20 attacks by the enemy, who also carried out 15 air strikes using 25 rocket-propelled grenades and 356 shelling attacks, including eight using MLRS.

There were no signs of enemy offensive groups forming in the Volyn and Polesie areas.
