17 strikes by "shaheddas" were recorded in Kharkiv: many explosions and casualties

In the evening of 2 May 2025, the Russian army struck Kharkiv with the use of drones of the Shahed type. This was reported by the mayor of the city, Ihor Terekhov, and the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleh Sinegubov.

According to Terekhov, recorded hits of enemy drones in two districts of the city. One of the drones damaged an apartment building, near which cars also caught fire. The mayor urged residents not to leave shelters as the attack continued.

Head of the OVA Sinegubov specified that it was about Saltovskyi district. As of 22:30 it is known about at least six victims. Emergency medics are working on the spot and are providing the victims with the necessary assistance.

Monitoring channels have recorded more than ten explosions in different parts of the city. The Ukrainian Air Force said that Russia launched several groups of attack drones from different directions at once in the evening, indicating a massive attack.

Operational services are continuing to eliminate the consequences of the shelling, and the number of casualties may change as information becomes clearer.
