Zelensky: Ukraine should get security guarantees from US like Israel's

Ukraine needs security guarantees on land, in the air and at sea.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Kiev expects to receive as strong security guarantees from the USA as Israel has, Interfax-Ukraine has reported .
There is a question that I am discussing... about security guarantees from the United States of America. We very much want them to be strong, at least as strong as Israel's," the head of state said.
In addition, Ukraine expects the deployment of a European military contingent on its territory.
We are working on the infrastructure of security guarantees. Even where there are European troops, we are talking about the backstop (support - ed.) of the United States," Zelensky said.
He specified that he had discussed this topic with his US counterpart Donald Trump.
I know that the United States of America does not look at it very positively, so we are talking about intelligence work, we are talking about cyber defence, we are talking, first of all, about Patriot air defence systems," Zelensky stressed.
He added that Ukraine needs security guarantees both on land, in the air and at sea.
The Ukrainian defence minister shared our latest developments with his counterpart in London, and I think we will continue to work on this infrastructure of security guarantees at the military level," Zelensky concluded.
Israel is not a NATO member, but the country has security guarantees from the United States, France and Britain.
