Zelensky told who was involved in the attempted assassination of the wife of the head of the GUR Budanov

Russia is involved in the poisoning of Marianna Budanova, the wife of chief spy Kirill Budanov. This was stated by the adviser to the head of the presidential office, Mykhaylo Podolyak, in an interview with Channel 24

According to him, Russian special services, which are "deeply integrated on the territory of Ukraine", were able to carry out the poisoning.

Let us be objective, Russia, unfortunately, has had an "open door" with Ukraine for 30 years. It actively worked out not only information, political or cultural space in Ukraine, but also formed one or another agency networks. With much less legerdemain they were canned or immediately manifested themselves," he noted.

Podolyak pointed out that despite the work of the Security Service of Ukraine, a number of Russian agents with a large depth of legendisation are still on the territory of Ukraine.

We must understand: the war is going on everywhere, even in Kiev. Is everyone at risk? Yes. Do we need to be careful? Absolutely. Is it necessary to talk about it? Yes," the politician emphasised.

He added that at the moment the Russian Federation is looking for opportunities to bring new agents into the territory of our country, using third countries.

Podolyak pointed out that the investigation into the poisoning of the wife of the head of the GUR is currently ongoing.

It is clear that as a result of countermeasures we will see whether there is a big network in this, or whether it is some random agents who did something there, etc.," Podolyak said.

In his opinion, the main goal of those involved in the poisoning was to intimidate and increase panic in the country.

Russia's psychological tactics are clear. Our tactics are to realise that we are in a state of war," Podolyak concluded.
