- Zelensky spoke out about Russian Federation's overnight massive attack on Ukraine

The Russian Federation has launched a massive strike on Ukrainian cities this night. The Russians used more than 800 means of destruction. Explosions were heard in Kiev, Odessa, Kryvyy Rih and Kremenchuk.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has reacted sharply to Russia's overnight attack, calling it a deliberate crime and an attempt to prolong the war at a time when the world could have long ago moved to real diplomacy. The head of state said this in his Telegram-channel.
According to the Ukrainian leader, the consequences of Russian strikes are still being eliminated. In total, the enemy fired more than 800 drones and 13 missiles, including four ballistic missiles. According to preliminary information, several drones crossed the border between Ukraine and Belarus.
As a result of the shelling, residential buildings were destroyed in the capital, in one of them the ceilings between the fourth and eighth floors were damaged. Two people were killed, including a child, while dozens of residents were wounded. The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers building was also damaged, where a fire broke out on the upper floors.
Other regions were also hit: more than 20 houses and a kindergarten were destroyed in Zaporozhye, commercial warehouses were damaged in Kryvyi Rih, there were fatalities in Sumy and Chernigov regions, and a missile hit a high-rise building in Odessa.
Such killings are not just strikes, but a deliberate prolongation of the war," the President stressed.
He recalled that Washington had sounded promises of sanctions for refusing to negotiate and said that it was necessary to fulfil the agreements reached in Paris, including on strengthening Ukrainian air defence.
Zelensky noted that each additional air defence system saves civilian lives.
The world can make the Kremlin criminals stop killing. Only political will is needed for this," he concluded.
As in turn, Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kiev city military administration, said in his Telegram channel, more than 10 locations in the city were damaged. In particular, these are direct hits to residential high-rise buildings in Svyatoshinsky and Darnitsky districts.
In a sixteen-storey building in Svyatoshynskyi district - the last three floors. In one of the damaged nine-storey buildings of the district partial destruction from 4 to 8 floors. Here as of now two dead, among them a child," he wrote.
Tkachenko stressed that the Russians "killed a mother and her son, who was only 3 months old, and the father has severe injuries." He also noted that 20 victims are known at the moment. Rescuers are still working on the locations where the enemy hit. Tkachenko specified that more than 10 locations in Kiev were damaged as a result of the enemy attack on the night of 7 September.
According to the Air Force, Russia hit Ukraine on the night of 7 August with 805 drones and 13 missiles. The air defence forces managed to defuse 751 enemy targets. Nine missiles and 56 attack UAVs hit at 37 locations and downed (debris) at eight locations.
