- Zelensky did not rule out Zaluzhny's resignation

The President said he is pondering a change of direction in the country's leadership and noted that different sectors need a "reset".
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that he is "pondering" a change of leadership, and not only of the military. This is how he commented on the possible resignation of the AFU commander-in-chief, Valeriy Zaluzhnyy, in an interview with the Italian channel Rai1 on 4 February.
Answering a question about Zaluzhny, Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine needs a "reset", which means a change of leadership.
Zelensky said that it implies rotation of a whole range of the country's leaders, not only in the military sector.
When we talk about this, I mean the rotation of a whole range of state leaders, not only in one sector, such as the military. I am reflecting on this replacement, but we cannot say that we have replaced one person here.... If we want to win, we have to push everybody in the same direction, convinced of victory, we cannot despair, put our hands down, we have to have the right positive energies... That's why I'm talking about a reset, about replacement, I mean something serious, which concerns not one person, but the direction of the country's leadership," Zelensky said.
He added that "it is a question of people who should govern Ukraine. Undoubtedly, a reset is needed, a new beginning."
Earlier on Sunday, 4 February, the US president's national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, said that the USA should not interfere in the issue of the possible dismissal of the AFU commander-in-chief, Valeriy Zaluzhnyyy.
