Russian troops have wreaked havoc on Ukraine's ecology

An updated infographic highlighting the devastating consequences inflicted on the environment as a result of Russia's armed aggression was presented by the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine on 5 February.

It is noted that extremely high losses to nature and ecosystems have become evident during the recent periods of war.

The information in our infographic will clearly reflect the scale of natural disasters, disruption of ecosystems and negative impact on human health, which is a direct result of aggressive actions," the inspectorate said in a statement.

It is emphasised that deepening the understanding of these consequences is important for building global consciousness and taking the necessary measures to restore the natural balance and prevent further losses.
