Zelensky visits Donbas and congratulates Ukrainian soldiers

A video with Volodymyr Zelenskyy in front of a stele in Slovyansk has appeared on the president's Telegram channel.

The head of state congratulated the military on Armed Forces of Ukraine Day.

Slaviansk is not that far from the front line, the President said in the video:

Traditionally I meet this day at the front line with our fighters. Today we are in Donbass. The combat zone has become bigger, the fight is harder and the price is higher. Your indestructibility and therefore our independence. Your victory and our gratitude for it. Your courage and our pride for it, we are proud of our Ground Forces, our Air Forces, proud of the Navy, proud of our Special Operations Forces, proud of our Airborne Assault Troops, proud of all, proud of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Zelenskyy also stressed that today was not just Ukraine's Armed Forces Day, but the year of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
