Washington extends sanctions against Belarus for another year

After June 16, the sanctions will last for another year
US President Joseph Biden extended sanctions against the government of Belarus for another year.
This is stated in an official statement on the website of the White House.
In 2006, the United States declared a state of emergency due to the dangerous actions of the Belarusian government. We are talking about the undemocratic elections in 2006, about the violation of human rights and political repression, about corruption and the misuse of Belarusian state assets.
In 2021, the list of sanctions was expanded. Due to the fact that the political situation in Belarus is not improving, but on the contrary, from June 16, the sanctions will last for at least another year.
The actions and policies of certain members of the Belarusian government and others, as well as the malicious activities of the Belarusian regime and persistent abuses, continue to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States, the document says.
