"War will come to Russia": Zelensky warned the West against investing in the Russian economy

Even after the end of the war in Ukraine, Russia will remain unstable and investment in its economy will be impractical.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that even the end of the war will not bring investment stability to Russia. He said this in an interview with US commentator Ben Shapiro.
Zelensky said that he did not want to directly criticise the US foreign policy strategy towards Moscow, but questioned the reasonableness of a possible economic rapprochement between the countries.
The authorities and business in the United States think that after the war it will be possible to invest in raw materials, minerals, and Russian territory. But Russia will not have quiet years. These investments will be lost because there are peoples within the Russian Federation that were once subjugated by the Russian Empire, and this will definitely make itself felt," the Ukrainian leader said.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed the opinion that the peoples inside Russia may eventually start striving to restore their independence.
I have worked in Russia, I have been to the Caucasus and other regions... Everywhere there are peoples with suppressed culture and language, people are just waiting for the right moment. That moment will come and everything will erupt. Russia has no lasting unity because it is built on subjugated peoples. It will definitely boomerang back," he said.
Zelensky also compared the situation with the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, expressing confidence that the country will definitely liberate them.
There are people whose ancestors are buried on these lands, whose homes were there. They will come back for their own. And then any pragmatic plans of the USA, Europe or other countries to invest in Russia will be endangered because war will start on its territory," the Ukrainian leader stressed.
