Ukrainian troops are gradually reclaiming the territories occupied by the enemy.
Ukrainian troops are advancing in Zaporizhzhya Region. In particular, they marched south from Robotino to the villages of Novoprokopivka, Ocheretovatoye and Malaya Tokmachka. This was reported by the speaker of the joint press centre of the Defence forces of the Tavricheskiy direction Alexander Shtupun on the air of the telethon.
He pointed out that the defenders were able to defeat the enemy in the areas of Robotino in the Zaporizhzhya region, as well as Urozhaynoye and Staromayorskoye in the Donetsk region.
Shtupun noted that the enemy is trying to advance and is carrying out assaults in Maryinka and Avdiivka directions, using additional forces. He also said that the enemy had increased its air force and was striking Ukrainian troops from the sky.
At the same time, according to Shtupun, the Russians are suffering significant losses in the south and are forced to transfer troops from other parts of the front.
They are irrevocably losing up to 100 people every day, and there are also wounded and prisoners. Over the past 24 hours they have lost 305 people in total. And they are trying to patch it up, but it turns out to be a mess," he said.
Shtupun stressed that one should not count on easy victories, as the enemy has managed to build fortifications and mine significant areas of the territory.
The AFU will face "quite powerful" Russian defence lines ahead," he said.
