Additional conscription for war possible - Danilov

Despite the military commanders' call to President Vladimir Zelensky to allow more people to be mobilised for war, there will be no change in mobilisation.
Another additional draft into the army is possible in Ukraine, the secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, Oleksiy Danylov, has said on air of a telethon. The secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, Oleksiy Danylov, said this on air during a telethon.
He stressed that we should not expect a mass wave of mobilisation, however, an additional draft may take place, but according to the norms approved on 24 February 2022.
Changes in mobilisation should not be expected. Our mobilisation began on 24 February 2022. On the first day of the beginning of the military aggression, all relevant decisions were taken by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a meeting of the National Security and Defence Council was held, then the Verkhovna Rada voted all relevant legal acts, in particular, concerning mobilisation," Danilov pointed out.
The head of the National Security and Defence Council noted that the authorities adhere to the mobilisation plan and do not recruit more people than necessary, but may announce an additional draft. Moreover, as Danilov noted, the number of people drafted into the army is somewhat lower than planned.
Yes, the military are appealing, and there will most likely be an additional draft, but this does not mean that it will go beyond the limits that we approved back on 24 February 2022," he stressed.
Danilov added that the military takes care of servicemen and conscripts exactly as many as they need to fulfil their tasks.
At the same time, he did not specify when conscription is possible.
We would like to point out that martial law has been imposed in Ukraine since 24 February 2022, and President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on general mobilisation. Every man between the ages of 18 and 60 is subject to military duty and can be drafted into the army. Conscription was carried out through military commissions - called "territorial centres for manning and social support" in Ukraine - at the place of residence and military registration.
