Ukrainian army reacts to Russian claims of destruction of its troops in Makeyevka

Sergei Cherevaty, speaker of the Eastern Group of Forces, said on the telethon:

Of course, using telephones is a location and it is a mistake. But this version looks somewhat ridiculous. Because to place such large batches of mobilised men who are not very trained and coherent in large premises not adapted to take shelter in case of danger is a very weak excuse.

He said it was a mistake on the part of the Russians and expressed confidence that the Russian Federation was now looking for someone to blame.

Cherevaty explained:

It is clear that this (use of phones - ed.) was not the main reason. It was that they were not able to covertly deploy these personnel. Which we took advantage of by finishing the target powerfully and destroying it.
