To do this, the "smart machine" will analyze the health data of each person at risk, calculating his predisposition to the virus. This is stated in the plans of the NHS.

Experts emphasize that hepatitis C is a very insidious disease that affects a person's internal organs and reduces life expectancy. To defeat hepatitis C, specialists from the NHS decided to include machine learning algorithms in the work of medical organizations. In this way, they expect to identify thousands of patients who only develop the disease annually.

The National Health Service emphasizes that introducing AI will not require additional actions from people. Machines will study the medical data already available in the databases - tests and symptoms. If the device finds a person the AI considers at risk, the hospital will contact him and offer to undergo additional tests and tests.

Those who test positive for the virus will be offered affordable treatment. The NHS website says that the NHS will deal with three major pharmaceutical companies supplying the necessary number of drugs.
