Ukraine plans to allow second booster vaccination against COVID-19

Today it is recommended to give a second booster dose to the elderly and those who have comorbidities.
But shortly, the situation may change. This was announced by the chief sanitary doctor Igor Kuzin.
Most likely, a decision will be made to expand the second booster for everyone. We will recommend and enable the production of a second booster for everyone, depending on their desire. This option will be provided, I think, until mid-September, Kuzin said in an interview with Ukrinform.
The second booster will help protect against the Omicron strain since it is not yet known how the virus mutation will develop.
Suppose a person missed a vaccination or theran introductory basic course, and he did not have time to make a booster. In that case, a person should come and be vaccinated because an incomplete vaccination course does not have such protection as a full one, - said the chief sanitary doctor.
