In Ukraine, men may be allowed to travel abroad upon payment of a monthly contribution to the Armed Forces of Ukraine
A draft law on the possibility of men traveling abroad in wartime, subject to payment of a guarantee fee.
Bill No. 8029 was submitted to the Rada by the People's Deputy from the Servant of the People Georgiy Mazurashu.
In the explanatory note, the deputy writes that a high unemployment rate of 35% has been registered in Ukraine.
Citizens can and should work for the economy (and hence the defense) - work in the rear or abroad, - said the deputy.
If the project is accepted, the men will be released abroad on condition that a guarantee payment of UAH 13,000 is made to the state bank. From this contribution, an amount equal to taxes on the minimum wage (about UAH 2,700) will be transferred monthly to the account of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
When going abroad, they plan to require men to provide written confirmation of the voluntary obligation to replenish this account for the same amount of taxes while the man is abroad.
