Russia periodically threatens all its neighbours, while claiming to be "provoked".
Russian expert Mikhail Aleksandrov in the air of one of the Russian TV channels has proposed a missile strike on Azerbaijan in order to stop oil supplies to the West and thereby cause the rise in hydrocarbon prices. According to Ukrainian journalist Denis Kazansky, Aleksandrov suggested bombing Azerbaijan during one of the propaganda programs. At the same time he said that competitors in the oil market should be eliminated with missiles. In particular he suggested:
If we bomb their oil industry now, they won't be able to sell oil to the West. It will significantly increase oil prices. We must strike at their oil production and energy system
Denis Kazansky stressed that such a proposal was made on the air of a federal channel.
Kazansky stressed: "Russia is obsessed with war and killing. And this problem will still have to be solved. The inadequate regime will threaten until it is removed"
