There are still children in Avdeevka frontline
The enemy is shelling Avdiivka almost every day.
There are still children in Avdyivka, Donetsk Region, which is shelled by Russian troops on a daily basis. The head of the Avdyivka city military administration, Vitaliy Barabash, said this during a telethon.
According to him, residents of the city have now started to leave Avdiivka almost every day because of the increased danger. And during each evacuation there are children.
Now we have 18 children staying in the town, a fortnight ago there were 47. So there is a positive dynamic," Barabash said.
He also added that in January and February there were practically no people willing to leave. Back then, 50 people were evacuated, but now only in 10 days in March, 25 people have already been evacuated.
The evacuation is on. It is clear that not only the decree (regarding the forced evacuation of children from active combat zones, which only Bakhmut falls under for now - ed.), but also the situation currently around the city and town has triggered it. This is rocket attacks, which almost never happened before the New Year, but now almost every day," Barabash said.
Recall that the government has approved a mechanism for the forced evacuation of children from active combat zones. At the same time, parents will not be able to refuse such evacuation.
It is noted that the basis for the mandatory evacuation is now a decision of the OVA, which is agreed with the military command authorities and the Coordinating Staff for the mandatory evacuation of the population.
However, parents or guardians may not refuse to evacuate a child.
