UNESCO representatives will assess the damage to cultural and religious sites following the 19-23 July missile attacks.

According to official information, the UNESCO mission will record the damage to Odessa's historical centre after the Russian shelling.

In particular, UNESCO representatives will assess the damage to cultural and religious sites after the missile attacks from 19 to 23 July.

The mission will be led by Chiara Dezzi Bardeschi, UNESCO coordinator in Kiev.

According to preliminary information, about 50 sites were damaged.
