During the full-scale Russian invasion, the National Police received more than 93,000 calls from Ukrainians who were sexually abused by the Russian occupiers.
Serhiy Nezhynskyy told Ukrainian Radio in an interview with the public adviser to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, Olha Stefanyshyna.
According to him, the victims are being provided with the necessary assistance. And work is also underway to bring the perpetrators to justice.
According to Nezhynskyy, more than 200 cases related to sexual violence have been submitted to the court. All the data on the victims are classified.
These are 200 cases that were officially, already 203 or 205 cases, officially the Office of the Prosecutor General's Office verified and transferred to the court. There are 93 thousand calls, which are verified by the National Police and transferred, sent to the appropriate centres of assistance to the rescued - Serhiy Nezhinsky.
He added that in Ukraine, in addition to the state call centre 1547, social hubs are also working. 11. People can confidentially contact such social centres and receive humanitarian, medical, legal and psychological assistance.
