The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported how much Kiev region is mined

Kiev Region is still not completely demined and explosive technicians of the Interior Ministry are working there. This was reported by Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, Radio Liberty has reported .

At the same time, he noted that the territories close to populated areas had already been cleared of explosive objects.

Klymenko pointed out that large areas still need to be demined and explosive technicians continue their work.

According to Klymenko, subordinate structures of the Interior Ministry have already destroyed up to half a million mines.

We would like to add that for a year and a half of full-scale war, the territory of Ukraine is strewn with landmines, unexploded bombs, as well as artillery shells and the like. According to international experts, it will take many years and billions of dollars to demine the territory of our country. it is too early to draw final conclusions about the contamination of the territory with mines, as the war continues.
