The Ministry of Infrastructure announced which airport will be the first to reopen

Airports will be reopened in stages.
Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov said that it is not so difficult to reopen airports in Ukraine and it takes a few weeks. The second issue is security. It is from this that the authorities will start when deciding to open this or that airport. He announced this at the 17th annual meeting of the Yalta European Strategy YES, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
The main obstacle to the resumption of flights of civilian ships is safety, not technical issues, he stressed.
According to him, the first airport that can resume work is likely to be Lviv airport.
Technically, the opening of the airport in Lviv can be implemented as a "grain initiative", where Ukraine will receive security guarantees from international partners and the UN, Kubrakov said.
Recall that the authorities are considering the possibility of resuming the work of the Uzhgorod airport, the runway of which is located 100 meters from the border with Slovakia. It is planned to make it international.
In addition, Lviv Airport is the international airport of the city of Lviv named after Danylo Halytsky. It ranks first in terms of the number of passengers per unit of time, as well as the branching of the route network in Western Ukraine. The airport is located 6 kilometers from the city center.
