- Kyiv will employ parents raising children with disabilities

A new project is being launched in Kyiv to employ parents and guardians of children with disabilities.
This was announced by Marina Honda, deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration.
As part of the project, parents and guardians of children with disabilities will be offered jobs at NOVUS.
It is noted that such workers, given their special needs, will have a more flexible schedule and counselling support during the first months of work.
Today there are around 1,000 children with disabilities registered among internally displaced children in Kyiv. These children are predominantly taken care of by their mother, who finds it difficult to find a steady job, as her childcare schedule is often unstable. Therefore the employment opportunity for parents and guardians of children with disabilities is an important step towards improving the living conditions of both children with disabilities and their families raising them," said Marina Honda.
Information about the project can be found on the Facebook page of the Kyiv City Centre for Rehabilitation of Disabled Children or by calling (044) 467-22-44.
