GUP says conditions under which occupiers will destroy Crimean Titanium

"Ukrinform" reports that a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry, Andriy Yusov, said on the air of the nationwide marathon "United News":

First of all, it could be blackmail, as a number of actions carried out by the Kafirs are of a demonstrative nature. This is a continuation of the blackmail by terrorists which we see at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant and other facilities. They are also considering a scenario of disabling the plant in case of retreat and escape. Putin does not hide the fact that deindustrialization of Ukraine is a genocidal practice constituting Russia's war against Ukraine," Yusov said.

It was also noted that a possible development around Crimea Titan could be a full-scale terrorist attack or a war crime committed by Russian forces. The spokesman said that it was understood that they were dealing with war criminals and the public should be prepared for this. He stressed that civilian workers at the occupier-controlled companies, including the Crimean Titanium, were in fact being held hostage by terrorists.

The representative also noted that the presence of mined facilities and trenches throughout the temporarily occupied territory of the peninsula indicates that the invaders are preparing for various scenarios, including a possible retreat. He stressed that one element of the information and psychological campaign against Ukraine is to show scorched earth tactics, in which Russia is trying to force Ukraine to peace by destroying towns like Bakhmut, or provocative explosions, such as the Kakhovskaya TPP. However, he noted that neither Ukraine nor the international community would succumb to such blackmail.

Speaking about possible problems with fresh water in temporarily occupied Crimea, a representative of the Ukrainian State Security Service said that the occupants are aware that they are on the peninsula temporarily and do not intend to resolve these issues.

As previously reported, the Ukrainian Defence Ministry's SDU said that Russian engineering units had mined the workshops of the Crimean Titan enterprise in the town of Armyansk in the north of the Crimean peninsula, which is temporarily under occupation.
