Britain predicts when the war in Ukraine will end

Before reaching the sea, the AFU will have to pass three more lines of defence of the Russian invaders.
During the current counter-offensive, Ukrainian defenders will not be able to dislodge Russia from the captured territories, and Ukraine's air forces will need about another year to restore their power. A statement to this effect was made by British General Richard Burrons, who previously commanded the kingdom's Combined Forces, the Financial Times reported.
According to him, if Western support is strengthened, the AFU could win the war over the Russian Federation before 2025.
Ukraine's current counter-offensive will not dislodge Russia - although no one expected it to. It is also unlikely to halve the area of occupation before winter, which could be one of the most optimistic goals," he said.
He also suggested that by the end of this year Ukraine will not be able to reach the sea in the seized areas. Burrons pointed out that it is difficult to do so because of the defence lines that the Russians have built. According to his calculations, the Ukrainians have three defence lines of the Russians on their way to the sea.
He also noted that the Ukrainian army still needs ammunition and the country needs to strengthen its air defence.
Ukraine has enough air defences to cover only about a third of the country's territory. The issue of shortage of artillery ammunition has been solved only temporarily - by supplying US cluster munitions," he said.
He also noted that Kiev should preserve its defence capability.
