Umerov said how many volunteers are in the army

Ukraine continues to mobilise the army due to the invasion of Russian aggressors.
About 12 per cent of those who joined the Ukrainian army did so voluntarily. Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov said this in a commentary on Fox News.
Now more than 12% of servicemen join the army voluntarily, - said Umerov.
He noted that after the law on mobilisation was adopted in Ukraine, mobilisation rates increased by 2.5 times. In his opinion, the situation has changed thanks to the new manning system.
Positive mobilisation figures show that Ukrainians are ready to defend their land with weapons in their hands," the minister said.
We shall remind you that the Ukrainian Defence Ministry has developed a new model of defence management, the pilot implementation of which is planned on the basis of a separate branch of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The new model of planning, programming, budgeting and execution process is designed to support sound management decisions in the field of defence and was developed on the basis of NATO best practices. The model will be piloted until the end of 2025.
The new approach involves, among other things, planning for the development and sustainment of the capabilities of the AFS, and subsequently other components of the defence forces, over the medium (5 years) and long term (10 years). Part of this model is a clear allocation of expenditures in key areas based on a multi-criteria analysis of the development of defence capabilities.
