The first batch of shells produced has already arrived at the disposal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
This was reported by the press service of the state-owned Ukroboronprom concern.
According to official data, Ukroboronprom, together with another NATO country, has set up production of 122 mm artillery shells abroad. The first batch of shells has already been supplied to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Previously, Ukroboronprom itself, with the involvement of Ukrainian specialists, set up the production of a 120-mm mortar shell and a 15-mm tank shell abroad.
The 122-mm shells are used by Ukrainian artillery with D-30 howitzers (maximum range - 15400 m) and 2S1 Gvozdika SAU (maximum range - 15200 m).
It is noteworthy that the number of shrapnel is significantly higher than that of the standard "Soviet" model.
