Ukrainian families affected by the war will be given free housing

A social project "Dim there, de ty. Already at once" has started in Ukraine. As part of the project, it is planned to provide comfortable housing for families who lost their homes due to Russian aggression after February 24, 2022.

As part of the pilot project, five families will receive houses (two adults and two children under 18).

In order to take part , one of the adult family members must fill out a participant questionnaire at the link . If your family is selected for an interview, you will receive a call at the phone number listed on the application form. The collection of questionnaires continues until July 27, 2022 .

At the second stage , Ukrainian and foreign funds and donors will be attracted.

At the third stage, the construction of mobile homes with turnkey interiors will take place. Interestingly, the construction of comfortable functional housing with an area of 28 sq. m takes only 1 month.

A house with full interior decoration, furniture and household appliances is provided for temporary residence for families for up to 5 years . During the period of using the house, families only have to pay utility bills according to the utility tariffs.

All houses will have everything necessary for living from the moment of installation: interior and exterior decoration, furniture, household appliances and plumbing.

Housing also has an insulated frame, air conditioning, ceramic panels and underfloor heating. The house will have two separate bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen.

The land plot on which the house will be located has an area of 10 acres.

Recall that in the Diya application, you can apply for compensation for destroyed houses or apartments as a result of Russian aggression.

The service can only be used by citizens of Ukraine who, since the beginning of the war on February 24, have had:

• private houses (manor, country and garden)

• apartments

• other residential premises (for which a separate ownership right is registered, and not as part of the house).

Because of the war with Russia, about 800,000 Ukrainians have lost their homes. This is more than 15 million square meters of apartments and houses. This was announced by Elena Shulyak - Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on the organization of state power.

The following are entitled to compensation:

Citizens of Ukraine who own damaged or destroyed housing; persons who purchased housing at the stage of its construction or had their own construction in progress; members of housing cooperatives who bought the premises of the cooperative, but did not formalize the ownership of it. The heirs of the aforementioned persons will also be entitled to compensation. The bill also provides for compensation for the restoration of common property for condominiums, managers of apartment buildings, cooperatives.

Reimbursement will be in cash, which the individual will have the right to spend as they see fit, as well as as a contribution to funding the construction of a new home or funding work to restore damaged common property in an apartment building.
